Evaluation question 1
Here's a presentation of question 1 of the evaluation. We all used Sam's account to present these types of presentations as it was easier to use 1 account rather than have 3 different accounts.

Technologies used
In creating my blog and film, I used a large variety of technologies in order to portray certain aspects more clearly. I would say that with the use of different technologies it has made my blog more aesthetically pleasing and also shows that I am capable of using these technologies successfully.
The technologies I used were:
1. Pixton
I decided to used Pixton as it adds more colour to my blog and also provides a visual image of the film. However, this did take a long time to make which is the only downfall of it.
2. Powerpoint
I used this technology to portray large texts information which I broke up by using the slides. This is much easier on the eye than a large wad of text. I also used pictures and youtube links.
3. Word
I used word to create the scripts and to write up the camera angles. There were a lot of camera angles to write about and so I thought that it was easier to view if they were all on one page. Also I used word to create the scripts. I used word for this so that they could be uploaded to Scribd then embedded into my blog. This is a clear format to view the scripts on and again its all on one page rather than having to skip from slide to slide to view the next line in the script.
4. Scribd
This was very useful in transferring the information from Word onto an easy format to embed into blogger. It was also easy to use and hardly took any time! It breaks up the words and looks far better in my blog than a huge slot of text.
5. Soundcloud
I used Soundcloud because it was a whole different technology and incorporated audio rather than visual text. However, it did waste a lot of time as I had to write out what I wanted to say and then read it from my transcript. But overall I think it provides a different way of viewing my blog as its something different.
6. Prezi
Prezi was a key technology for my group. We created one account and each created prezi's off that. I would say that Prezi is one of my favourite technologies I used because its like going on a journey- you jump from bubble to bubble and it makes the reader much more interested as there a lot of colours going on. It also breaks up text heavy paragraphs as it doesn't let you write that much due to the shape of the textbox.
7. Slideshare
To get the powerpoint onto blogger we decided to use slideshare. Slideshare was a useful and easy website as you just had to click to upload a powerpoint then embed the slideshare into blogger.
8. Youtube
I got my links from clips in films from youtube. Again this was easy to use as you can just copy and paste the link wherever you want. Youtube is also a very well known brand and everyone knows how to use it.
9. Camera - Nikon
The camera we used was full HD and therefore obviously a very high quality camera which made our film much more easy on the eye
10. Rode - Microphone
We didnt use a separate microphone in our preliminary task and this made a massive difference in our final task. The microphone had a wind shield as it was a very windy day an so this helped make out the dialogue clearly.
11. iMovie
iMovie was useful to use in editing our preliminary task as it was an easy editing app that was used to get the hang of editing. This was used until we needed more effects and sounds which is why we transferred to Final Cut Pro.
12. Final Cut Pro
At first this was hard to use because it was new and had a lot of tools available to use and sometimes there was too much to use and it was overwhelming however once I understood how to use the tools and what they were used for it became simpler!

Auditions for actors, Costumes, Props and Locations
In producing these Prezi's it was a group effort in which we all contributed and made.
The casting of actors entailed some questions which were then asked to the different actors who we asked to be in our thriller. We then deliberated as a group who to pick and discussed who would best fit to what role.
The 3 locations we considered were : Fred's farm, Reeds school grounds or Bushy park. All of these locations consisted of good tree cover with a lot of land to use. In the end we went with Fred's farm as it was very convenient to get there and the spacing of an was better than the other 2 options.
